Job Summary
Load prepared samples onto confirmation equipment and perform initial review of confirmation data from LC/MS/MS instrumentation. Progress through training phases toward certification, including final analytical result review and sign-off of batches; provide feedback to maintenance on assay integrity and performance; perform startup and daily maintenance of LC/MS/MS equipment; troubleshoot as needed; assist with research and development; collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to resolve issues; follow schedules and production sequences to meet production goals while adhering to CLIA and CAP guidelines and protecting PHI. Demonstrates ability to handle high-volume workloads while maintaining quality and productivity, with success through phases of training leading to eventual certification, and contributes to continuous improvement in laboratory operations.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in a science field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pre-med (Biomed), Forensics & Toxicology), required
- Experience as a senior lab tech or analyst, preferred
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems software, preferred
- Data entry skills via a keyboard (alpha and numeric) required
- Strong eye-hand coordination
- Ability to handle a high-volume environment while maintaining the highest level of quality, required
