Job Summary
Efficiently screen passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints while confirming valid boarding passes and protecting restricted areas. Scan and test luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other technology. Provide professional information with integrity and uphold all regulations with vigilance. Maintain visual and hearing acuity, and be prepared to lift, push, or pull items up to 10kg. Work any shift as required by airport operations, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Required Qualifications
- 18 or older
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
- ability to obtain a Transport Security Clearance
- no unpardoned criminal record
- fluency in English (verbal and written)
- ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
- demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume environment
- ability to work any shift as required by the airport operation
- Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity
- ability to lift/push/pull items up to 10kg
- ability to bend
- ability to squat
- ability to crouch
- ability to kneel
- ability to stand/walk/sit for periods up to 2 hours
