Job Summary
Efficiently screen passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other technology. Confirm valid boarding passes and provide information professionally while protecting restricted areas. Uphold all regulations with vigilance to ensure passenger safety and a positive travel experience. This role requires Transport Security Clearance, a no unpardoned criminal record, and fluency in English (French is an asset). Candidates must be 18 or older, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and able to comply with CATSA medical requirements. Availability includes early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. This is a part-time position with a salary of $24.95-26.76/hr.
Required Qualifications
- 18 or older
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
- ability to obtain a Transport Security Clearance
- no unpardoned criminal record
- fluency in English (verbal and written)
- ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
- demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one year
- ability to work any shift as required by the airport operation
- Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity
- ability to lift/push/pull items up to 10kg
- ability to bend
- ability to squat
- ability to crouch
- ability to kneel
- ability to stand/walk/sit for periods up to 2 hours
- Part-Time position
