Job Summary
Accession, store, ship, and manage clinical specimens ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and documentation. Maintain freezer systems and specimen inventory in accordance with internal procedures while handling receipt of compounds and control materials. Identify errors or potential issues and escalate to senior staff as appropriate, or respond to after-hours alarms and perform other job-critical support functions. Guide entry-level staff on department procedures and support onboarding activities. Support safety, quality, and 6S initiatives and comply with regulatory requirements. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 6pm. IQVIA Laboratories is a leading global provider of clinical research services and healthcare intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
- Experience with specimen accessioning, storage, shipment, and inventory management
- Working knowledge of laboratory procedures, internal systems, and regulatory guidelines
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and workflow controls
- Ability to identify routine issues, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate resolutions clearly
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures in a regulated environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints)
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures
- Must be available for Tuesday-Saturday 9:30am-6pm
