Job Summary
Coordinate and complete preoperative assessments for surgical patients by reviewing medical histories, medications, and lab results. Perform focused nursing assessments to identify risk factors prior to procedures, providing patient education and pre-op instructions. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure readiness and safety. Document accurately in the EMR while following evidence-based protocols. Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the pre-admissions testing unit.
