Job Summary
Perform patient assessments based on diagnosis, cultural beliefs, and developmental stage prior to entering procedural areas. Verify Universal Protocol components with patients and surgeons, then plan and implement periprocedural care while prioritizing tasks within allotted timeframes. Execute clinical and technical skills specific to the department, maintain accurate documentation in computerized systems, and complete timecard exception logs per policy. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve problems and mentor new staff, students, and team members in a constructive manner.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Minimum one (1) year RN experience in Ambulatory Surgery, PACU, or Critical Care within the last three (3) years
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire
- NHISS certification within six (6) months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of adult critical care nursing
- Experience with post cardiac interventional / Interventional Radiology patients
