Job Summary
Performs hospital-based scheduling and pre-registration in a call-center setting, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Schedules outpatient testing/procedures per physician orders and verifies patient demographics and insurance eligibility. Educates patients on insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs based on Epic estimates, connects patients with financial assistance resources, and conducts pre-service collections using secure financial protocols. Utilizes standardized scripting (AIDET+P) to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial requirements, and handles inbound/outbound calls with accuracy targets. Requires proficiency with multiple computer applications, strong verbal/written communication, and attention to detail to support patient readiness and navigation of the scheduling process.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 - 2 years Customer Service
- Experience in fast paced, customer-focused environment
- Ability to operate multiple computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Typing speed of 35 w.p.m
- Medical terminology preferred
