Job Summary
Internship focused on content creation for planetarium storytelling. Responsibilities include researching current and future space missions to support content management for our planetarium software; hands-on work in 3D modelling (Blender) and optimization of freely available 3D models for use in planetarium software; developing planetarium shows, including defining didactic topics and methods for knowledge transfer; scripting of planetarium presentations and implementing the presentations within our planetarium software. Requires active involvement in one of the blocks: 1) 3D modelling (Blender, rendering knowledge beneficial) and 2) planetarium shows (astronomy knowledge, quick software onboarding); strong self-initiative, structured work, and good German/English communication. Applicants should be currently enrolled in a relevant field and be motivated to gain practical experience with ZEISS and their planetarium initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current studies in astronomy, physics, media informatics, media design or comparable fields
- High aptitude and independent, structured work style
- For 1 (3D modelling): knowledge of 3D modelling with Blender; understanding of 3D rendering is a plus
- For 2 (Planetarium shows): astronomy knowledge; ability to quickly learn new software
- Good German and English language skills for team communication
