Job Summary
Provide short-term intensive in-home services to families following the New Jersey Family Preservation model, conducting assessments for safety risks and implementing interventions to mitigate issues. Assist families in establishing goals for self-sufficiency, model self-advocacy by coaching parents, and represent them in court, school, and social service settings. Maintain accurate case records, complete weekly case presentations, and manage time effectively to schedule sessions while adhering to program productivity requirements. Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for assigned families and collaborate closely with DCP&P staff to fulfill service planning requirements. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, ensuring timely communication with supervisors and adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Social Work or equivalent master's in human services
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- at least one and a half years' experience working with families experiencing crisis
- Must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey

- Knowledge of the child welfare system
