Job Summary
Lead architecture and design efforts for software products and integration platforms, including APIs and data exchange solutions. Define technical stacks to optimize portfolios and reduce maintenance overhead while conducting feasibility studies, preparing budgets, and establishing project strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and healthcare privacy regulations like HIPAA. Oversee implementation of new technologies including cloud platforms, mobile/web stacks, and interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR. Mentor development teams to foster technical best practices and deliver presentations to senior management. Prepare and maintain documentation, standards, and guidelines for technology adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of IT experience, including software development, architecture, and project leadership
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and architecture styles/design patterns
- Experience with data modeling, relational databases, and SQL programming
- Hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale business software and APIs
- Knowledge of healthcare informatics, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and privacy/security protocols
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to mentor and coach developers and architects at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and ability to independently research and evaluate new technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
