Job Summary

Practice as a General Hematologist/Oncologist at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. Provide inpatient consultative care and outpatient oncology services, manage new cancer diagnoses and ongoing treatment plans, oversee the chemotherapy infusion suite, perform bone marrow biopsies and interpret diagnostic studies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive Veteran care. Engage in quality improvement, peer review, and teaching initiatives, while delivering compassionate education and support to Veterans and their families. Schedule features include Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with manageable on-call; includes relocation incentives, CME support, academic/teaching opportunities, and nationwide VA mobility and career growth. Live and practice in a VA setting focused on purpose, balance, and impact.

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO with hematology/oncology board certification or eligibility
  • valid medical license
  • federal employment eligibility
  • experience in inpatient consultative care and outpatient oncology (preferred)
  • ability to oversee chemotherapy infusion suite
  • bone marrow biopsy proficiency
  • teaching/academic interest (preferred)
