Job Summary
Cover general rheumatology clinics and provide inpatient care at UPMC Pittsburgh-based hospitals, with a dedicated 4-day work week. Lead specialized, interdisciplinary care for patients with Sjögren's Disease and Vasculitis at the respective UPMC centers while participating in clinical trials to advance patient care and research. Provide quality rheumatology instruction, training, and mentorship to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Interact with academic and basic science colleagues by attending division and departmental faculty meetings, serving on committees, and addressing quality concerns.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent
- Board certification in Internal Medicine
- Board certification and Board Eligibility (BC/BE) in Rheumatology
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license
- Completion of an accredited fellowship in Rheumatology
- Minimum of 6 inpatient weeks per year (negotiable)
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in participating in Sjögren's and Vasculitis clinical trials
- Experience in musculoskeletal, vascular, and/or salivary gland ultrasound
