Job Summary
The Practice Patient Care Coordinator (Sleep Center) provides clerical and data-management support to ensure timely, efficient patient access and service. Under supervision, the PCC greets patients, secures signatures, verifies insurance and demographics, handles calls and referrals, schedules and reschedules appointments, promotes enrollment in Patient Connect, maintains medical records, coordinates between primary, specialty, and ancillary services, and assists in nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Requires strong customer service and familiarity with medical office operations; 32 hours per week with Tue–Fri 8:00–4:30pm; HIPAA/compliance awareness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Required Qualifications
- High School degree or GED required
- pass annual registration competency exam
- customer service experience
- familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- knowledge of medical office operations including scheduling, registration, EMR, patient flow, billing, coding, charge capture, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, privileges, regulatory agencies, DNV standards
