Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state. Requirements include Basic Life Support certification, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or unit-specific modules potentially needed based on the assigned unit. The role demands prolonged standing, walking, and significant physical exertion, including lifting, turning, and moving patients weighing up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure (alternative to accredited program)
- IV Certification within 1 year of hire
