Job Summary
Practice Manager for outpatient services overseeing CBHC and BHUC locations, standardizing operational workflows, monitoring performance metrics, ensuring timely access and scheduling, managing front-end revenue cycle processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple sites. Leads administrative oversight, supports clinical leadership, and drives quality improvement and data-informed process changes to enhance client experience and operational efficiency. Requires a Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s with 7 years’ mental health/substance use disorder experience), at least 3 years of supervisory experience, strong HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2 knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Pay range: $75,000–$97,500 per year; location: Springfield, MA with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business, Human Services, Social Work (required); or Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years’ experience in Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders
- Minimum three years’ supervisory and/or management experience
- Must have broad knowledge of mental illness and treatment techniques for adults and children
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates willingness and ability to work with diverse populations
- Demonstrates cultural competence in dealing with individuals from various backgrounds
- Experience with collecting and organizing data from various sources and familiarity with data/analytics tools
- HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance knowledge
- Ability to oversee workloads, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Experience with front-end administrative and revenue cycle workflows including insurance verification and billing
- Experience with quality assurance audits and process improvement
- Ability to lead change management initiatives across multiple sites
- Experience coordinating across site leadership and clinical managers to improve access and scheduling
