Job Summary
Manage day-to-day administrative and operational activities for the Oral Surgery Department and Group Practice, supervising four Surgical Assistants, four Patient Care Coordinators, and two Patient Coordinators. Develop and implement annual departmental goals while fostering teamwork among staff and faculty to ensure excellent customer service for patients and students. Interact with all employees on operational matters and assist in reviewing treatment plans with patients, requiring a strong understanding of dental terms and procedures. Demonstrate critical thinking to problem-solve and maintain organization through multi-tasking and priority setting. This role supports the University's Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience
- Prior experience as a Practice Manager in a Dental Group Practice Setting
- Prior experience working in a Group Practice Model in a Dental School
- Prior experience in supervising staff employees
- Ability to review and discuss a treatment plan with patients
- Strong understanding of dental terms and procedures
