Job Summary
Supervise a team of Opticians, Technicians, and Patient Care Coordinators while resolving patient and employee issues. Convey a customer-centric approach by coaching staff to deliver exceptional service and serve as a role model. Monitor practice operations, analyze financial data to optimize profitability, and manage product and inventory. Recruit high-caliber talent, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with billing, staff behaviors, and HIPAA regulations. Perform consistent trainings and support team members using core philosophies. This role reports to the Lead OD, Director of Operations, or Area Manager depending on practice alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer optical experience
- minimum of 2 years of retail management/supervisory experience
- General understanding of operations, processes, and high level of business acumen
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to set, monitor and achieve productivity goals
- Ability to problem solve, exercise sound judgment, and exhibit a high level of attention to detail
- Understanding of optometric business processes and strategic development
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet required deadlines
