Job Summary
Maintain clinic schedules across all assigned locations and manage provider scheduling templates within the practice management system. Supervise daily administrative and clinical staff, including registration, scheduling, and authorization functions, while providing orientation and training materials. Deliver customer service by resolving patient complaints, managing telephone systems, and differentiating risk management issues from standard concerns. Oversee revenue management activities such as charge capture, encounter form reconciliation, and cash collection audits. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, HIPAA privacy requirements, and IT system training across all facilities. Investigate expense variances, manage purchasing logs, and oversee equipment maintenance agreements to support operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in Financial Management
- Quality Improvement
- Project Management
- Program Development
- Previous supervisory experience managing Human Resource issues, particularly change management and labor relations
- Bachelor's Degree is required plus a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive medical office experience in medical office registration, back-office clinical, scheduling and/or billing
- A minimum of three (3) years healthcare supervisory or management experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelors degree
- A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy are necessary in dealing with providers, staff, and patients in a complex environment
- Excellent verbal and demonstrated written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to supervise operations and/or customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory care management experience strongly preferred
