Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of a busy fertility and gynaecology practice, leading administrative and clinical support teams while managing patient flow, appointment scheduling, and capacity planning. Develop and refine operational policies, workflows, and procedures to support growth, and manage staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance. Monitor operational efficiency and productivity, oversee billing, Medicare processing, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with healthcare legislation and accreditation standards. Liaise with external providers, hospitals, and key stakeholders to drive practice growth and support change management initiatives as service offerings evolve.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager within a specialist medical practice
- Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume, busy healthcare environment
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining operational policies, procedures and practice protocols
- Strong understanding of medical administration, patient scheduling and practice workflow optimisation
- Experience leading, coaching and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Highly organised with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial and business management skills, including billing, Medicare and reporting processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency with medical practice management software systems
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within Fertility, IVF, Women's Health or Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Understanding of fertility treatment pathways and patient care journeys
- Experience managing growth, change or practice expansion projects
- Accreditation and quality management experience
