Job Summary
Manage practice financial performance, expenses, and inventory while ensuring accurate pricing and budget planning. Direct daily operations by overseeing staff scheduling, payroll, accounts payable, and vendor relationships to support veterinarians and maintain high client satisfaction. Ensure regulatory compliance through safety training, incident reporting, and adherence to OSHA, DEA, and EEOC standards. Collaborate with the Managing Doctor, Regional Director of Operations, and marketing teams to drive revenue, implement strategic plans, and foster team development. Work full-time on-site in West Des Moines, with weekend availability as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time, on-site, ability to work on weekends when needed
- Associate degree in applied science, veterinary technology, or business
- Practice Manager Certification
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
- Knowledge of OSHA safety techniques including use of proper PPE
- Excellent computer skills including MS office applications, office technology, etc.
- Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages
- Strong communication skills
- Client service experience
