Job Summary
Lead and grow a Transportation/Traffic practice by creating a vision for growth, delivering planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and ITS projects, and assisting in marketing efforts with municipal, state, and private clients. Establish goals, build positive client relationships, and maintain open communication with partners and team members. Manage projects profitably, mentor staff, and transition work to qualified personnel while operating with integrity and sound business principles. The role offers significant autonomy, a performance-based bonus program, and potential advancement to ownership. Located in Los Angeles, CA, this position requires 15+ years of experience, a P.E. license, and established local agency relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
