Job Summary
Lead a Land Development team by managing relationships with key clients, establishing practice vision, and building positive client relationships. Operate with integrity to grow and direct the practice while meeting client expectations and identifying leads. Make presentations, write proposals and scopes of work, and establish budgets to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor younger employees through recruitment and resource direction. Requires a P.E. with 10 years of experience in the Dallas market, no sponsorship available. Kimley-Horn offers a performance-based path to ownership and a robust benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Extensive client contacts and relationships with local or national architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land owners as well as local jurisdictional staff
- P.E. with at least 10 years of experience growing and leading a residential land development practice in the Dallas regional market
- Business development and marketing experience including; writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
