Job Summary

Conduct daily operational oversight by facilitating office huddles, reviewing staffing, monitoring task queues, and managing shift schedules. Lead team performance through coaching, mentoring, and end-of-month operations including inventory management, supply expiration tracking, and waste minimization. Support financial health via budget reviews, copay management, and revenue cycle oversight while responding to Net Promoter Score service recovery cases. Execute front-of-house duties such as patient check-ins, insurance verification, and facility upkeep, alongside clinical tasks including venipuncture, EKGs, vitals, and specimen collection.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead role in high touch customer service or patient facing healthcare
  • Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), another accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education
  • An active Medical Assistant certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), the National Certification Medical Association (NCMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board
  • Proven ability to foster strong, collaborative team-dynamics that ensure a supportive and engaged team culture
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary work duties require exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or small amounts of force frequently. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
  • This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, based in-person with our team and patients at our Jersey City, NJ with 8 hour shifts generally taking place Monday - Friday between 7:30a - 6:00p.
  • One Medical participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading successful change management and process improvement efforts preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, with a solid understanding of billing and insurance, is preferred
