Job Summary
Lead design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure, and battery storage projects. Review and develop design documents including electrical layouts, schematics, block diagrams, and one-line diagrams while collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams and Kimley-Horn offices. Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals to support the growth of electrical engineering service areas. Grow and mentor staff, transition work to qualified personnel, and manage projects profitably with a high degree of autonomy. Operate with integrity, provide business planning and strategy, and maintain positive client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience managing Electrical projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
