Job Summary
Lead the growth of the building structures practice in the Dallas Metroplex by developing relationships with clients, industry peers, and coworkers. Perform and review structural design calculations, prepare submittal packages, and conduct site investigations while documenting field observations. Support meetings with owners, contractors, and design teams, and contribute to identifying new project opportunities through networking. Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor team members. Operate with integrity, provide business planning and strategy, and establish clear goals. Required Qualifications
- At least 12 years of diversified structural engineering experience
- History of providing technical design and planning on a variety of structures projects
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, as needed
- Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong client contacts/relationships with the desire and ability to be continually engage with clients
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Professional Engineer desired
