Job Summary
Greet patients, answer calls, and manage complex scheduling for cardiology specialists, ensuring accurate visit details and insurance eligibility in the EHR. Obtain registration information, verify benefits, and coordinate referrals, surgeries, and follow-up appointments while collecting payments and settling cash drawers daily. Act as the primary contact for inquiries, obtain medical clearances, and serve as the escalation point for complex cases or scheduling issues. Mentor Level I and II staff, assist with training, and rotate to other sites as a Team Lead or Preceptor to supervise tasks and resolve escalated matters.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge/proficiency of Medical Terminology
