Job Summary

Greet patients, manage surgical and in-office procedure scheduling, and coordinate follow-up appointments and specialty services. Conduct pre-determination, authorization, and pre-certification while verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and collecting copays. Perform pre-registration, check-in, and check-out tasks in EPIC, including obtaining referrals and tracking arrivals, no-shows, and cancellations. Manage physician schedules to ensure authorizations for office visits and procedures are obtained. Serve as a liaison between residents, attending physicians, patients, and the operating room, and act as a first point of escalation for complex cases. Assist with onboarding new staff, supervise specific tasks, and follow end-of-day closing procedures.
