Job Summary
Perform duties under moderate supervision with intermediate to advanced proficiency in administrative skills, acting as a super user for scheduling, registration, and billing systems while providing training and assistance to others. Troubleshoot insurance issues across HMOs and managed care plans, and assist with special projects, process improvement groups, and staff orientation. Provide cross coverage and float to other practices when help is needed, while following HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy. Participate in regular team meetings and ongoing continuous improvement efforts, including trainings on care coordination and patient population management. Extended and/or weekend hours required for this onsite role within the Brigham and Women's Advanced Primary Care Associates practice.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year applicable work experience required
- Extended and/or weekend hours required
Desired Qualifications
- Some additional training in office systems or other post high school education preferred
- Ambulatory care experience a plus, but not required
- Primary care experience a plus, but not required
