Job Summary
Join the Division of Child Advocacy at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as a BC/BE Pediatrician to support evaluation of children with suspected physical or sexual abuse and neglect in inpatient and outpatient settings, including involvement with the ARCH clinic and multidisciplinary forensic interviews. The role includes opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and community partners, as well as potential research and academic pursuits. An academic appointment with an excellent compensation package, full benefits, CME stipend, malpractice insurance, and time off is offered. The department emphasizes ongoing professional growth within a well-established pediatric team (8 Child Abuse Pediatricians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers) and a strong clinical and educational environment in Pittsburgh, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics (BC/BE)
- Academic appointment
- Experience in teaching medical students, residents, or fellows preferred
- Expertise in evaluating children with suspected physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across jurisdictions
- Research and scholarly activity encouraged
