Practical Nursing Specialist

Provides basic nursing care for geriatric residents, participates in admission assessments and ongoing assessments, communicates significant changes to the interdisciplinary team, documents assessments accurately, contributes to care planning and updates plans as needed, administers nursing interventions including medication administration and IV therapy (IV-certified), maintains safe and timely care, uses SBARR for physician communication, monitors care plan delivery, identifies and addresses problem areas through QAPI, observes and responds to residents' behavioral changes, assists with ADLs and responds to call lights, commits to ongoing nursing education, and may be assigned other appropriate duties.
