Job Summary
Conduct classroom, clinical, and simulation instruction while supervising students enrolled in the practical nursing program. Organize and coordinate skills labs at TCHS Brandywine and TCHS Pickering campuses. Formulate policies for student selection and promotion, and develop diverse teaching strategies to achieve program outcomes. Manage day and evening assignments, including summer months, across clinical locations. Maintain expertise in medical surgical, maternal child health, and geriatric clinical areas.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Nursing experience involving direct patient care within the last two years
- Current, within one year, police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances
Desired Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree, preferably in nursing, with additional preparation for teaching appropriate to the teaching of practical nursing
- A minimum of two years of experience as a nurse educator
- Experience with simulation-based learning/virtual simulation
- Expertise in medical surgical, maternal child health and/or geriatric clinical area
