Practical Farm Research (PFR) Location Lead

Job Summary
Develop plot layouts for research studies by collaborating with agronomists and operations managers, including map creation and seed product specifications. Direct daily field operations such as tillage, planting, spraying, and data collection while maintaining equipment service records and ensuring accurate documentation of activities, products, and environmental conditions. Oversee plot maintenance through mowing and weeding, manage summer intern hiring, and coordinate field show preparations. Communicate completed data and plot layouts to the Data + Logistics Manager by established deadlines and assist in training farmers and dealers. Speak on research findings at company events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy or other agricultural related field or equivalent work experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck's automobile insurance policy
- Chauffer license or equivalent
- Fork truck license
- Currently have or have ability to obtain pesticide applicator license
- Minimum two (2) years experience in agronomic field services or research
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
- Ability to operate field scale equipment such as combines, sprayers, tractors and planters
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Must submit to a drug test and background check
