PR Supervisor

Job Summary

Develop and lead execution of client PR plans while serving as the primary point of contact for strategic direction. Write, develop, and oversee creation of press materials, bylines, and media talking points, then prepare and coach spokespeople for interviews and panels. Manage day-to-day client relationships, provide reporting with clear takeaways linking media performance to business objectives, and partner cross-functionally with social, paid media, and account teams. Oversee junior team members through mentorship and direction, lead client projects to completion on time and budget, and support new business efforts as needed. Anticipate challenges and escalate appropriately to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of public relations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven success in securing national, regional, and trade media coverage
  • Strong writing skills with experience developing press materials, thought leadership articles, and bylines
  • Experience prepping and coaching spokespeople for media interviews
  • Proficient in tools including Google Suite, Monday.com, MuckRack, and presentation software for project management, media relations, and reporting
  • Ability to analyze results and distill meaningful, actionable insights for clients
  • Understanding of how PR integrates with social media, paid, and influencer marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to occasionally work after-hours as part of the 24/7 PR news cycle
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10% or less)
