Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and fabricate Tire Manufacturing equipment by inspecting components, troubleshooting issues, and replacing parts using appropriate tools. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to solve problems, while maintaining safety-conscious behaviors and complying with all operational procedures. Perform constant improvement on maintenance and repair functions, including removing and replacing components, with proficiency in basic electrical skills and industrial maintenance. Work rotating shifts subject to overtime in a tobacco-free facility, lifting items up to 50 pounds and navigating confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings
- Valid Driver's License
- Experienced in industrial maintenance work
- Ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills
- Basic electrical skills
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all the above areas
- Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
- Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
- Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts and be subject to overtime
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years PM and industrial or commercial repair experience
- 2 to 3 years Metal fabrication experience
- Technical school training or degree
- PLC experience
- Welding experience
