Job Summary
Formulate and execute the Private Philanthropy strategy for the Chinese market, leading end-to-end donor acquisition, pipeline building, and stewardship for the Major Donor programme. Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospective major donors while managing the full donor lifecycle from prospecting to conversion. Conduct market mapping to identify new donor segments and provide analysis that refines fundraising approaches. Produce pitches, presentations, and reports to support strategic decision-making and facilitate information management for internal and external events. Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, manage income tracking, and ensure compliance with due diligence procedures. Collaborate with broader PSP initiatives to support non-direct cash contributions and enhance UNHCR's visibility among philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma
- Completion of university degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Sociology, or other related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for high school diplomas, or 2 years for Bachelor degree and above
- Experience of PPH programme in corporate fundraising from UN agencies, iNGOs, international organizations, and/or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Excellent knowledge of UN (especially UNHCR) procedures
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (in particular Excel) and Powerpoint Presentation
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Work experience in professional fundraising skills
- Understanding about UNHCR's works and/or humanitarian issues
- Proven skills in writing, drafting, translation and communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience in research and networking with the PPH programme
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in both Chinese and English
- Bachelor's degree
