Job Summary

Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations of assigned physician practices while collaborating with the physician team to provide quality care to patients and support to providers. Support physicians with care and assessment of all age groups in accordance with the Standard of Care and Nurse Practice Act. Maintain current state Licensed Practice Nurse license or Certified Medical Assistant certification, complete required orientations, and demonstrate solid communication skills to establish priorities and work independently. Lift up to 100 lbs as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent with GED
  • Completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements
  • Graduate of a school of nursing
  • Current state Licensed Practice Nurse license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
  • Sufficient previous clinical experience (during training) in area of assignment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations
  • Familiar with computers
  • Electronic medical record experience
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to assist with 100 lbs.
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in establishing priorities
  • Experience in working independently
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
