PPG Ambulatory Care RN Lead

Job Summary
Conduct high-quality, evidence-based care across the lifespan to enhance patient safety and reduce adverse events. Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients, performing procedures including EKGs, retina scans, suture removal, BP checks, dressing changes, and UTI checks. Educate patients and families on conditions, self-management, and preventative care while managing cost of care within diverse populations. Collaborate with leadership, providers, and the extended care team to deliver excellent service, participate in peer interviews, and serve as the primary clinical resource. Mentor co-workers and lead care team training while assisting with quality control for point of care testing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be the graduate of a School of Nursing
- BSN
- Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse
- CPR certification
- Minimum two years' experience as a registered nurse
- Leadership skills
- Experience with autonomous critical thinking
- Working in a team-based care environment
- Medical terminology
- Pharmacology
- Essential computer skills
- Knowledge of electronic medical records
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Ambulatory experience
- Knowledge of electronic medical records recommended
