PPC Head (Production Planning & Control)

Job Summary
Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and confirmed orders while creating detailed line-wise and machine-wise schedules. Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and capacity, and monitor raw material and component availability to control inventory levels, avoid stock-outs, and prevent excess stock. Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, production, and logistics teams to align demand with capabilities, track production against plans, and identify bottlenecks to drive corrective actions. Lead initiatives for reducing production lead time, optimizing inventory turnover, and improving on-time delivery through ERP/MRP system utilization and best practice implementation. Reports to the Plant Head with a team of managers and planners, focusing on KPIs such as plan adherence, OTIF, and capacity utilization within the manufacturing industry.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
- 12–18 years in manufacturing industry
- Strong expertise in production planning & scheduling
- Experience in material planning & inventory control
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management
Desired Qualifications
- MBA (Operations) preferred
- Strong exposure to appliance / consumer durable / engineering manufacturing preferred
- Candidates from appliance, consumer durable, or similar high-volume manufacturing setups
- Experience in multi-product and high SKU environments
- SAP preferred
