Job Summary

PPAP Coordinator manages the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new and modified components to ensure compliance with AIAG, customer requirements, and design records. Drives timely, accurate supplier submissions while coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and production readiness. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving supplier PPAP submissions, validating dimensional results, GD&T, control plans, PFMEA, MSA, material certifications, and performance testing; ensuring alignment to design records and critical characteristics; coordinating with suppliers to resolve documentation gaps and drive corrective actions; tracking PPAP status and escalating risks to support NPI, ECNs, and production readiness; preparing and issuing PSW and approval documentation; maintaining PPAP records and revision control; supporting launch readiness, APQP activities, and design/process reviews; reviewing capability studies, Gage R&R, and process validation documentation; supporting interim approvals and managing supplier resubmissions; participating in internal and external audits related to PPAP compliance; driving improvement in PPAP first-pass yield and reducing submission errors. Work environment is primarily office-based with occasional travel or supplier interaction.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in quality, supplier quality, or PPAP coordination
  • Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
  • Experience reviewing dimensional reports, certifications, and process validation data
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality/document management systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Certification in quality or AIAG Core Tools
  • Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, or PPAP platforms
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
  • Experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, or launch environments
