Job Summary
Flush livestock trailers using a 1" high volume hose and power wash the entire unit, including gates, ramps, ceilings, I-beams, and floors with a turbo tip. Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and defects affecting animal safety, reporting issues to the supervisor. Operate power washer equipment, hook/unhook trucks, and climb ladders to access locations while handling materials up to 75 pounds. Work indoors and outdoors for 20% to 40% of the time, kneeling or stooping for 80% to 90% of the shift, and stand or stoop alert for up to 11 hours. Comply with PPE requirements and report accidents or injuries to the Safety Team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One year power washing experience
- Knowledge of Bio-Security precautions relating to pork production facilities
- Knowledge of Transport power washer SOP
- Skill in Washing equipment with high powered washers
- Skill in Hooking/unhooking various commercial Trucks/trailer units raise and lower the landing gear, operate the 5th wheel release lever
- Skill in Climbing ladders of different design to access locations
- Skill in Manually handling material and equipment requiring a lifting/handling force up to 50-75 pounds
- Ability to Lift & pulling up to 50 to 75 pounds
- Ability to handle exposure dust, noise, odors, and temperature extremes
- Ability to Operate power washer
- Ability to Stand / stoop and remain alert for an aggregate period of up to 11 hours with a 1 hour break
- Ability to Perform squatting, kneeling, bending and climbing during the wash process
- Ability to Properly enter and exit the vehicle's 10 to 20 times per day
- Ability to Use a shovel to move and/or clean a load of material
- Ability to Occasionally reach above shoulder level, at waist level, and below waist level for maneuvering and directing the controls
- Ability to Spend at least 10% of the day standing and 90% of the day working on surfaces such as concrete, metal and on slippery and wet surfaces
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to operate power washer
- Must be able to handle exposure dust, noise, odors, and temperature extremes
- Must be able to stand and stoop for up to 11 hours with a 1 hour break
- Must be able to perform squatting, kneeling, bending and climbing
