Powerhouse Technician/Boiler Operator

Job Summary
Operate complicated machinery and electrical components to install, maintain, and repair steam boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, and pressurized piping systems throughout the facility. Perform chemical tests, tear down units to diagnose troubles, and replace defective parts or wiring using hand tools and pipe fitting machinery. Install and maintain high-pressure steam stations including lines, traps, valves, and insulation while troubleshooting analog and digital control systems. Read mechanical and electrical diagrams to isolate problems and enter time schedule data into the energy management system. Core hours run from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience with steam boilers, air compressors, electrical equipment, pumps, motors, power generating equipment and pressurized piping systems, including water, steam, oil, compressed air, and natural gas
- Experience with reading schematics and blueprints
- Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Five (5) full-time years' experience in powerhouse technician
- Ability to problem solve and understand mechanical equipment
