Job Summary
Power BI Developer responsible for designing, building, and deploying interactive Power BI dashboards and KPI scorecards; construct robust semantic models; optimize DAX and tune performance for large datasets; collaborate with cross-functional business units to define reporting needs, gather requirements, and drive BI adoption; manage workspace permissions, data gateways, scheduled refreshes, and Row-Level Security (RLS); leverage Azure (Synapse, Data Lake), Power Query, and ETL to integrate data from multiple sources and deliver robust, compliant analyses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience with BI Platforms: Microsoft Power BI (Service, Desktop, and Report Server)
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL) and DAX
- Data Preparation: Power Query / M-code
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (Synapse, Data Lake), Microsoft 365, and Power Automate
- Advanced DAX: writing complex calculations, time-intelligence functions, performance-tuned measures
- SQL proficiency: writing queries, views, and stored procedures
- Data Modeling: Star Schema, fact and dimension tables
- ETL & Data Integration: ETL from multiple sources using Power Query
- Data Visualization & UI/UX: chart selection, layouts, color theory
- Power BI Service Administration: workspace permissions, data gateways, scheduled refreshes, and Row-Level Security (RLS)
