Job Summary
As a Power Technician 2, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment. Your role includes troubleshooting equipment failures, commissioning generators, and potentially working with different technicians on-site. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators
- Performing inspections, maintenance, and repair
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman HET (off-Road) or Journeyman Electrician
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements
- Ability to read and understand schematics
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
