Job Summary
The Power Systems Technician Journeyman is accountable for diagnosing, analyzing failures, and repairing power systems and industrial equipment under supervision. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and repair of industrial engines and generator components, leading maintenance tasks and participating in continual education as defined in the Technician Career Development Plan. The position requires expertise in electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication skills. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in diesel technology and three years of related experience in a Caterpillar or similar environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of three years equivalent experience in diagnosis and repair of industrial engine and generator repair
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English)
