Job Summary
Power Systems Sales Implementation Engineer – Data Centers responsibilities include reviewing RFQ/RFP information, preparing compliant quotations with BOMs and TCO documentation, negotiating contracts and pricing, building client relationships, developing project plans, providing technical application engineering support, coordinating on-site service, representing the company in technical meetings and site visits, tracking project status, and proposing cost-saving and value-engineering options. The ideal candidate will act as the subject matter expert on data center electrical products, services, and solutions, with extensive experience in high/low voltage equipment, power transformers, controls and monitoring. Travel to multiple deployment locations (Raleigh, Atlanta, Wake Forest, Charlotte, Ashburn) is required, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering is a strong plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (huge plus)
- 5-15 years of relevant consultative/data center solutions and product power applications experience
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments
- Experience with Low/Medium Voltage equipment, power transformers, controls and monitoring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Experience preparing electrical equipment proposals from inception to approval
- Ability to travel (Traveler) to customer sites as required
- Strong project leadership, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
