Job Summary
Power Systems Sales Engineer for Data Centers based in Raleigh, NC with remote-travel responsibilities. Role includes serving as the subject matter expert on data center electrical products and solutions, preparing electrical equipment proposals from inception to approval, conducting presentations and briefings, developing and maintaining relationships with partners, end users, and contractors, and leading technical and commercial activities from RFQ/RFP through pricing, negotiations, and project management. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Low/Medium/High Voltage equipment, power transformers, controls, and monitoring, and can identify new business opportunities while ensuring project plans, budgets, and documentation are maintained. Responsibilities also include coordinating on-site service needs, supporting technical requirements, and representing the organization in technical meetings and site activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5-15 years of relevant consultative/data center solutions and power product applications experience (UPS, generators, parallel switchgear, PDUs)
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and specifications
- Experience putting together technical presentations and acting as the technical resource during the sales process
- Business contacts in data center/IT executive roles in the region
- Proven track record in building long-term customer relationships and delivering value in complex data center projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
