Job Summary
Power Systems Sales Engineer for Data Centers located in Atlanta, GA with remote work option and travel. Responsibilities include preparing electrical equipment proposals from inception to approval, conducting presentations and briefings, developing relationships with end users and partners, collaborating on RFQ/RFP responses, negotiating pricing and terms, tracking project plans, providing technical application engineering support, coordinating on-site service needs, and leading factory witness tests. Must have extensive experience with data center electrical equipment (low/medium voltage, transformers, controls, monitoring), be able to create solutions that address customer requirements, and communicate technical concepts clearly to internal/external stakeholders. Desired background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 5-15 years in data center power product applications, and a strong understanding of mission-critical environments; aviation for strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership is a plus. The role involves business development within Fortune 500 accounts, OEM vendors, and engineering firms, with emphasis on value engineering, scope of work creation, and maintaining profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Power systems for data centers
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and mission-critical environments
- Experience in consultative sales and presenting technical solutions
- Ability to read electrical schematics and specifications
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record in proposals, pricing negotiations, and project leadership
