Job Summary
Design and conduct measurements to characterize power bus performance and develop methods to reliably expand the robot's performance envelope. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate software on robotic hardware while performing hands-on debugging of embedded systems using diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot system-level integration issues, analyze performance logs, and document root causes while assisting in maintaining development environments and version control workflows for embedded software releases. Own the end-to-end integration of power systems to push the boundaries of our robot's capabilities, ensuring operation is reliable, safe, and performant.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Senior) or recent graduate in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Robotics, or a related field
- Minimum 10-week internship availability
- Strong understanding of Battery design and operation considerations
- Strong proficiency with the Linux operating system
- Strong electrical understanding of the system and components
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 terms preferred
- Understanding of motor control theory
- Experience with simulation of power systems, optimization of architectures
- Proficient with Python
