Job Summary

Design and conduct measurements to characterize power bus performance and develop methods to reliably expand the robot's performance envelope. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate software on robotic hardware while performing hands-on debugging of embedded systems using diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot system-level integration issues, analyze performance logs, and document root causes while assisting in maintaining development environments and version control workflows for embedded software releases. Own the end-to-end integration of power systems to push the boundaries of our robot's capabilities, ensuring operation is reliable, safe, and performant.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Senior) or recent graduate in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Robotics, or a related field
  • Minimum 10-week internship availability
  • Strong understanding of Battery design and operation considerations
  • Strong proficiency with the Linux operating system
  • Strong electrical understanding of the system and components

Desired Qualifications

  • 1–2 terms preferred
  • Understanding of motor control theory
  • Experience with simulation of power systems, optimization of architectures
  • Proficient with Python
