Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, recondition and maintain service of generators, switchgear, ATS, electrical systems, engines, and their components in field environments, potentially including hyperscale data centers. Work in adverse weather conditions as needed. Accept all out-of-town assignments requiring extended overnight stays. Communicate information, instructions, and explanations to associates, clients and management regarding equipment conditions, problems, and recommendations. This role may involve travel to remote locations, on-the-job training to technicians and helpers, warranty recommendations, and adherence to safety policies. The position may require overtime and keeping company equipment in good, safe condition, with a focus on client relations and supporting corporate objectives. This is an in-field, day-shift position with hourly pay and no CDL requirement for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Own and maintain required personal tools
- Excellent client service skills
- Ability to successfully complete a skills assessment (eTRAIN test)
- High school diploma or GED
- DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDL if required by state or federal law
- Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems
- MSHA card (where required)
