Job Summary
Conduct detailed electrical analysis utilizing time domain techniques to evaluate system performance and identify potential issues. Perform complex calculations related to Transient Over-Voltage (TOV), Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV), Switching Studies, and Insulation Coordination. Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize system performance and mitigate risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Prepare comprehensive reports documenting analysis findings, recommendations, and design modifications, and stay updated with industry trends and regulations. This role requires 10+ years of experience in time domain analysis of power systems and proficiency in PSCAD or EMTP-RV software. The position offers a hybrid schedule with competitive compensation ranging from $145,310 to $222,001.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (background in Power/Power Systems)
- 10+ years of experience in time domain analysis of power systems
- Proficiency in utilizing software tools such as PSCAD or EMTP-RV to perform complex electrical calculations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred
